I just got back from the 39th Annual SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) Summer Conference. The weather in Los Angeles was absolutely perfect – 70, dry and sunny everyday and the conference was held at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Century Plaza where I stayed. What a crazy week! I attended the NJ SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) 2010 Conference last weekend in Princeton then flew off to Las Vegas for a few days to check out the Licensing Expo! My head is buzzing with new ideas about books, licensing, and design.
